St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Page 3

 The
reef toward the south of Britannia Bay was excellent snorkeling. By far the best I have
ever done and I think it was the best of the week. There were more huge boulders of
live brain coral than you can imagine. As the lee shore, the water was very, very clear.
There is a hut on the beach about the middle of the reef and a path to get the dinghy
in without damaging the coral.
We felt rich, and very, very full after a great meal at Basil's over
the water. A wonderful assortment of appetizers including awesome seafood crepes was
followed by huge steamed lobsters and homemade rum raisin ice cream. They even had Stoli!
Ho hum, another great meal in paradise.
The pace of island life continues to slow us down. Sweetie Pie Bakery opens at
7:00 and by the time we got there at 8:30 the pickings were pretty slim. Grab a few more
provisions and back to the boat. Kyle and I have to take one more snorkel. Jean the fish
not far behind. Denise, well, in the words of Michael Jordan, "Nothing but net".
The last thing Denise said as we departed off the back of the boat was, "Don't find
anything cool without me".
Not one minute later, I saw a flying fish along the bottom sand.
